sorry if this is a rude question! but why were you baptized as a teen? i thought baptisms were for babies?

oh no it’s not rude! no worries! :) I was baptized as a teen because I just recently put my trust in Jesus Christ as my savior as a teen!

I think the whole “baptizing as a baby” ritual is part of Catholic tradition or perhaps other denominations, but don’t quote me on that last part! Followers of Jesus Christ are called to get baptized as soon as they put their faith in him. So I don’t think Christians get baptized as babies because babies don’t really have that capacity of mind to make that heartfelt decision yet!

I think it sucks so much when you are really passionate for something serious and then someone else just shoots it down for being too serious. Like you want to do something actually legitimate and meaningful and someone just thinks your stern and calls you a “hardass”. For example, a person says something that really questions the human mind and someone just asks if you’re mentally okay or not.

I came upon a really strange thought. I realized after adding 300+ songs to my iTunes that I’m extremely selective. And as I was listening to them all, trying to listen to them all the same number of times so the iTunes count would be close, I noticed that I would skip some songs.

The weirdest thing is that I started thinking about my friendships and how I choose which things to talk about. And I just feel stupid thinking about that now. Upon thinking of the many new friendships I’ve made this year, I feel like I’m selecting what parts of each friendship benefits me.

I’m so prideful that I hate agreeing with people, I hate saying that they are right and that I need help. I always have to go out of my way to make myself look smarter or more intelligent. And the worst part of it is that sometimes I try to make myself seem more “moral” than others, but in reality I’m the same as everyone else. Bleah.

I feel like I talk about myself a lot. And again, I find myself choosing to talk about things that make me look like I’m a good person. And I don’t really listen to people that much. It’s so easy to just bathe in glory and feel good about yourself as the other person is forced to say something related to what you’re talking about, especially when you have manipulated the conversation just to see how good you yourself are.

Man, now that I look back to the relationships that I have with other people, its not fair. I just feel like I’m just manipulating things back and forth.

Sigh, I’m sorry :(

I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,

This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,

there is only one set of footprints.
“I don’t understand why in times when I needed you most,
you should leave me.”
The Lord replied, “My precious, precious child,

it was then that I carried you.”
